CAITLIN CLARK, NBA All-STAR, AND MORE
This week was a rather slow for professional sports, however the overlap of spring and winter seasons within the NCAA has commenced. In sporting news, Caitlin Clark became the all-time leading point scorer in women's NCAA basketball, the NBA had their all-star weekend, and the return of Connor Bedard for the Chicago Blackhawks.
CAITLIN CLARK
The current face of women's basketball just broke the 7 year old scoring record to etch her name into history. Caitlin Clark scored her 3,527th point of her career to pass Kelsey Plum's original record set in 2017. On the same night, Caitlin Clark broke the single game point record for Iowa basketball with 49 points. Clark is currently chasing the NCAA men's record by 98 points set by Pete Maravich in the 1970s. Caitlin Clark is changing the face of basketball for women and enabling little girls to believe that they can do anything that they set their mind to. Not only is Clark a sensational basketball player but she is changing the face of success for women in sport. The question for Clark now lies in if she plans to declare fro the WNBA draft, in which she would very easily be the No. 1 pick OR does she stay for her last eligible season at Iowa? In my opinion, with the money that she is making in NIL at Iowa and the success of the Iowa program- unless they win March Madness- she should use her last year of eligibility and go into the WNBA is two seasons.

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Do you think that Caitlin Clark will become the all-time leading NCAA point scorer? & Do you think Caitlin Clark declares for the WNBA draft or utilizes her COVID year and stay another year at Iowa?

Is there a way that the NBA all-star game can be fixed? I just don't know if there's a way to get players to give it their all in an exhibition game. NBA players standing around on a court doing whatever they want and just messing around is fun for a while, but not for a whole game. This is generally a problem across all North American sports. The NFL's pro bowl has been a joke for a while. Nobody really cares about bringing glory to their league or conference. They care about their teams. It's not that big a problem in baseball, and this is because of the injury risk. It's way smaller in baseball than it is in other sports, so players can feel safe trying their best. Baseball also has the most games, so one extra baseball game is no big deal compared to one extra football game. I don't know if there is any solution to this as long as sports cause injuries.
